TTC couple 35 and above pregnant with twoplus Applicator Extra

TTC at 35 & Older, Pregnant With Applicator Extra After Failed IVF & IUI

At 37, Micheal* and his 35-year-old wife had a challenging journey to parenthood in the few years prior.

Just like many couples trying to conceive (TTC), they faced several hurdles, including three failed IUIs (intrauterine insemination) and one unsuccessful IVF (in-vitro fertilization). To complicate matters, they realized they had unexplained infertility when their fertility tests came back fine.

But Micheal and his wife did not give up. When traditional fertility treatments didn’t work for them, they explored at-home fertility aids. That’s when they discovered the twoplus Applicator Extra, a self-insemination sperm syringe.

Keep reading to find out how the Applicator Extra provided a far more affordable and less invasive solution than costly fertility treatments they had undergone previously.

Micheal’s Tell-All Tale of His TTC Journey With the Applicator Extra

Interview responses were edited for clarity.

Q: Hi, Micheal! Tell us a bit about yourself! How old are you and your partner, and where do you live?

A: I was 37 years old and my wife was 35 when we conceived through twoplus Fertility. We live in Dallas, United States.

Q: Previously, you mentioned that you’ve had three failed IUIs and 1 failed IVF before getting pregnant with the twoplus Applicator Extra. Could you share more about your fertility struggles as a couple before the pregnancy?

A: We were not diagnosed with unexplained infertility. After all the tests, we were found with no abnormalities. We got pregnant [for the] first time on our own which resulted in failed pregnancy at 7 weeks. [The] next time, we thought of going [the] IUI and IVF route to expedite our parenthood journey as we were getting older.

After unsuccessful attempts [with IUI and IVF], we searched for home-based options and found you guys and Mosie Baby. But yours worked better.

We [also] found out that our IVF fertility doctors did not run vitamin panel tests. We got those done on our own, [and] we found ourselves deficient in vitamin D, zinc, and thyroid issues for my wife.

We started these organic supplements, and with your help in addition to us trying ourselves too, we [now] have our rainbow baby.

Q: Congratulations on getting pregnant with the twoplus Applicator Extra! How long have you been trying to conceive?

A: We have tried [a] combination of everything before twoplus Fertility since 2020.

Q: What led you to purchase the Applicator Extra? What did you like/dislike about it?

A: The ease of use and its ability to hold the semen within the cervix better. With Mosie Baby, it would ooze out the semen more.

Q: Was the Applicator Extra easy to use? Were they uncomfortable after inserting, and did you have any trouble using the fertility tools?

A: Yes, pretty easy to use. No discomfort.

Q: Did you adopt any lifestyle changes to improve your odds of conceiving?

A:  Yeah, I was walking more for 1 hour and more. My wife remained active. We were religiously taking our vitamin supplements, especially prenatals, vitamin D, zinc, and B complex.

Q: Would you recommend the Applicator Extra to other people who may have difficulties with natural conception?

A: Yes, 100%. Much cheaper than the business of IVF. They charge horrendous money to suffering people. Also insurance [only] covers a few attempts. So it's a blessing.

Q: If you could go back to the beginning of your TTC journey, what would you have done differently? Also, what would you suggest to other couples who are TTC?

A: Keep trying on your own and with these at-home fertility aids if you are [dealing with] unexplained fertility.
