Every drop of sperm counts. That’s why couples who are trying to conceive (TTC) rank sperm leakage after sex as one of their top struggles.
Some people, like Rachel Lim, 28, have resorted to lying in bed post-sex to minimize the amount of ejaculate leaking out of the vagina. But as firsthand experience would have you know, this eats into our busy schedules when we have 101 things to check off our to-do list.
Enter the twoplus Sperm Guide. With its novel design, the Sperm Guide helps to reduce semen backflow to increase your odds of a successful pregnancy.
Read Rachel’s experience with the Sperm Guide to learn how this fertility tool stays plugged into the vagina to keep sperm closer to the cervix while allowing her to go about her day!

Rachel Shares Why She’s a Fan of the Sperm Guide
Interview responses were edited for clarity.
Q: Hi, Rachel! Tell us a bit about yourself! How old are you and your partner, and what are your occupations?
A: My partner and I are both 28 this year. I’m working in the insurance industry and my partner signed on as a regular in [the] NDU (Naval Diving Unit).
Q: What were some of your fertility struggles before the pregnancy?
A: We tried to conceive “normally” without any help for about 4 months but failed each time. We read online about all sorts of tips and tricks to use but they all didn't seem to help.
I even bought the Clearblue ovulation stick to track my ovulation. But the instructions on the box said to only try once I was ovulating, which I learned later on to be untrue! Felt a bit dejected because I wasn't sure what information to trust any more.
Q: Were you diagnosed with any medical conditions relating to fertility by a licensed healthcare professional, and what tests did you do?
A: It’s not directly related to my fertility but more of my pregnancy journey as a whole.
I was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) in 2019. As such, I was put on medication that would endanger my fetus if I were to get pregnant. Hence, I had to wait for my condition to stabilize before changing medication and starting my TTC journey.
If it weren't for my condition, we might have started trying earlier while waiting for our BTO without stress. But since our plans got pushed back, I felt quite pressured to faster conceive and get pregnant 🙃
I am currently still going for blood tests every 2-3 months to monitor my immunity & blood levels to ensure I'm healthy enough to carry my baby to full term.
Q: What have you tried in your TTC journey before using twoplus Fertility?
A: Myths & online tips, such as:
- Lifting the hips & legs for 10-20 mins after sex
- Forgoing lube as lube is said to interfere/slow down sperm motility
- Clearblue ovulation sticks
Q: What led you to purchase the Sperm Guide?
A: An Instagram story ad popped up, and I clicked into the link, and read all the positive reviews and success stories. So I thought “Why not? I have nothing to lose anyway.”

Q: Is this your first successful pregnancy?
A: YES!!! 🥳
Q: What did you like/dislike about the Sperm Guide?
A: It's smaller than expected, and because I'm used to using a period cup, taking it in and out was a piece of cake!
It felt slightly weird the first time round but after I got used to it, I hardly felt it inside me the next few times. My partner felt slight discomfort the first time because he wasn't used to it. But after we spammed more fertility lubricant, he said it felt fine.
I also like how it doesn't shift around much during sex despite the copious amount of lube being used. It’s also 100% effective in stopping any sperm leakage! I could also pee and wash up as per normal after sex and do household chores with the [Sperm] Guide inside me instead of spending extra time lying in bed praying for a miracle 😂
Q: We saw that you only used the Sperm Guide once before you got pregnant — congratulations! Did you adopt any lifestyle changes to improve your odds of conceiving?
A: Thank you!! 🥰
I’m also shocked that it only took one round of trying before we got pregnant (I used it 4 times last month, on days 2, 4, 6, and 8 after my period ended).
Nope, my partner and I both didn’t change our lifestyles while TTC. We did consult a gynae just to rule out any possible fertility issues, and did a basic pap smear and vaginal ultrasound, but nothing other than that.
I also found out I was pregnant 5 days after that gynae visit LOL.
Q: Would you recommend the Sperm Guide to other people who may have difficulties with natural conception?
A: Yes, definitely. If you’re not opposed to having something inside you while having sex, the Sperm Guide is definitely worth a try!
It’s really very effective in stopping sperm leakage, which was probably our biggest issue for us personally.
The number of success stories should be enough to convince those TTC couples to give it a shot, [especially if your biological clock is ticking — you have fewer eggs as you age.]
If you think about it, $68 is still cheaper than [rushing] to book gynae visits or fertility checks (which cost me an additional S$330 cries 🥲)
Q: If you could go back to the beginning of your TTC journey, what would you have done differently? Also, what would you suggest to other couples who are TTC?
A: I would have just used the Sperm Guide right from the beginning and not waste time with all the myths LOL.
I would suggest for other couples to take the quiz on the website to see which device is suitable for them, and then try using the device if they want to conceive ASAP!
I’ll also recommend women to track their period and ovulation cycles before they even start TTC, and have sex every alternate day the week leading up to their ovulation to build up the amount of sperm available in them the minute they start ovulating.
