After IVF Failed, 24 Tries Led This 40+ Couple to Pregnancy

Faced with the challenge of his wife’s low ovarian reserve, Kevyn and his wife pursued three rounds of IUI and then a round of IVF.  Although their first IVF cycle resulted in a pregnancy, they tragically suffered a miscarriage due to an ectopic pregnancy.  After a period of healing, they tried another IVF cycle, only to be met with further heartbreak when no eggs were fertilized.  Desperate for a different path to parenthood, they then discovered and decided to try twoplus Applicators. After using twoplus Applicator for four cycles, they are now expecting a baby.

Having experienced the emotional toll of struggling to conceive, Kevyn offers a message of warmth and hope to other couples: "It's easy to only see the success stories and forget the struggles so many go through. We understand that pain. But from our experience, the most important thing is to take that first step, however small, and commit to a few cycles.  Don't give up on your dream."

Q: Hi, Kevyn! Tell us a bit about yourself! How old are you and your partner, and what are your ethnicities? What do you both work as?

A: 41 years old in 2025. Both of us are Chinese and self-employed.

Q: How long have you been trying to conceive (TTC)?

A:  About 2 years.

Q: Previously, you mentioned that you’ve had 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs before getting pregnant with the twoplus Applicator. Could you share more about your fertility struggles as a couple before the pregnancy?

A: We tried for a year before heading to the doctor for fertility checkups. We realised my wife had a low ovarian reserve, with only 1-2 healthy eggs. This was demoralising. We then tried 3 IUIs and, thereafter, one round of IVF. The IVF was a success, but we suffered a miscarriage due to an ectopic pregnancy. We were so devastated we took a few months to recover emotionally before attempting to try again. Our next IVF cycle failed, as no eggs were fertilized. At this point, we were desperate for another solution, and that’s when we decided to try twoplus Applicators.

Q: How did you first find out about the twoplus Applicator?

A: From an ad on Instagram.

Q: What made you decide to try it?

A: We were quite skeptical at first, but since there was no harm in trying, we thought we might as well give it a try.

Q: What were your initial thoughts or feelings about using the Applicator?

A: We thought there was no difference compared to our usual routine, but I guess we decided to try a crazier approach to it. 6 tries a cycle, 3 before ovulation, one on the day of ovulation, and two after ovulation. A friend told me he tried 7 times during ovulation by a TCM practitioner, so we thought to ourselves, "Why not?".

Q: How did twoplus Applicators help you achieve your family planning goals?

A: Definitely less stressed compared to the invasive procedures of IVF/IUI, and we were able to plan our time around it.

Q: Were there any challenges or difficulties you faced during the process?

A: No difficulties

Q: Did you involve your partner in the purchase decision? How did he feel about using the Applicator to try for a baby?

A: Yes, we just decided to try it after some discussion.

Q: How many cycles did you use the Applicator?

A: Total 4, back to back cycles

Q: How many times within each cycle did you use the Applicator?

A: 6 times per ovulation cycle.

Q: Apart from using the twoplus Applicator, did you make any lifestyle changes to prepare your body for conceiving?

A: Yes, nutritional intake, my wife took folic/royal honey/bee pollen/ling zhi.

Supporting your TTC journey with the right nutrition is key. twoplus Fertility Complete provides essential nutrients like CoQ10, folic acid, and myo-inositol, specifically formulated to support both male and female reproductive health.

Q: What else have you tried in your conception journey before using twoplus?

A: Meditation

Q: Would you recommend twoplus Applicators to other couples who are trying for a child? Why or why not?

A: It's definitely recommended. The price may be a bit steep for some couples, but I guess it's still cheaper than an IVF session. And the Applicator has no limits to the number of attempts.

Q: What would you say to someone considering the use of twoplus Applicator in their fertility journey?

A: Do not give up hope. This is as non-invasive as it can get! I’m sure there are couples in a worse situation than us, but we just have to stay positive about it.

People only see the success stories and not the struggles that most people go through, we understand and feel for them. But most importantly, just take the first step and commit to a few cycles.

Q: If you could go back to the beginning of your conception journey, what would you have done differently?

A: Definitely try to conceive at a younger age. haha

Q: Exciting times (and sleepless nights) are ahead for you and your partner! How does it feel? How are you guys preparing for the arrival of your little one?

A: With our past experience and disappointment, we are trying not to get ahead of ourselves. But this definitely feels amazing. We have not prepared for anything, we just want to get struck by the feeling of being overwhelmed by having a newborn and just enjoy the process as it happens.
